Gearbox Prob

Im after a gearbox for my clio 16v. I checked my knackered g box and cant find a part no. on it. i phoned renault and they told me either jb3053 or jb3091 will fit but have different gear ratios. one presumably for the 19 16v. Can anyone tell me which one is exactly for my clio 16v? Or does it really make much difference?

just ask them for the lower ratio one and get that one

The part number is on a little tag which is fixed under a bolt head, cant remember exactly where, under the gearbox mount possibly?

the tag should be on the top of the box just behind the breather. Its red and white.

MarkLD have you managed to put the box back together?
