gearbox question

i kno people will ask why but please just humor me ...



are there any boxes that will fit my 2005 1.2 16valve that can give me closer ratio's/faster acceleration ??

What changing a gearbox? Not so difficult on a 1.2

Sorry I dont know the answer to your question however logic would dictate that being the smallest engine which is found in a Clio it probably has the lowest ratios anyway

It's still not a twenty minute job!

Without the power to back it up, ratios in Clio boxes won't make a noticable difference, imo.

If you're intent, strip it, uprated suspension and brakes. Corners are more fun than traffic light grand prixs.

Yeah true, I wouldnt waste my time either. It's just the the whole "save it and buy a better car thing" annoys me. Yes it makes financial sense most of the time to do that, but sometimes its good to try something new. Especially if you can do a lot of the work yourself
