Gearbox Removal

Hey i've just bought a 1.4 Clio Dynamique with a slight gearbox grind. I'm assuming its the Diff bearing but not 100%, as when I turn the passengers wheel manually it still makes the scraping/grind noise.

What tools are key to removing the gear box? Any specialist tools required?

Nothing special is needed mate, just regular sized bolts holding it all together. I removed mine while my engine was out so was much easier.

I think i'd be checking brakes and CV joints before binning the gearbox.

The brakes have been completely overhauled so that fine, but the noise certainly is coming from the gearbox. But its difficult to pin point if its coming from the Driveshaft input area or deep inside the gearbox.

Would much rather replace driveshaft than gearbox.....
