can a willy gearbox take more abuse than a valver one?

what kind of bhp and torque can each take through it? b4 buggering?

its strengthened , different casings etc etc if thats what you mean. the clutch on a williams is different as well to take the extra torque.

clutch isnt a problem its more the gearbox copings im after

yeah its stronger. thats why iv just bought one as my 16v box lasted 18k after a rebuild. i think they should be ok, but mine had a couple of major hammerings that caused it i! doh!

iv heard up to 250hp and 200ft/lb.

williams. i heard the 16v is good for 200bhp ish though. but i dont know for sure. i asked a few weeks back on here.
