Hey
After giving my 172 'the beans' around some twisties and roundabouts yesterday I have noticed that I can feel the outside front tyre leaning on the sidewall when cornering, and loosing grip. It feels like it wants to understeer and then bumps or undulations can cause it to skip a little sideways. I belive this is due to having no camber on the front wheels and the tyre leaning over on its outside edge.
Firstly, am I right with this assumption?
If so, then I assume putting a few degrees of camber on the front would solve this. I no longer use my 172 daily so now only use it for 'fun' and will be tracking it soon. What would you guys recommend I do to the geometry for this? Camber front and back? or is it best to go to a specialist and ask them to set it up for fast road and track use?
Which leads nicely onto my 3rd question, does anyone know of any geometry specialists in Hampshire or Wiltshire who would be able to set this up for me, and not empty my wallet at the same time
Cheers
