Getting a bit worried now!

I know we touched on this before but im losing sleep over it now! my timing belt definatley is audible with the window open - but nowhere near supercharger teritory!

Should I be worried? It does get higher pitched the more revs you put through it but I guess it would wouldnt it!

what kind of warranty do places usually give you on em? am I entitled to go back and ask them to loosen it?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Timing belt, a belt doesnt make a noise, its either your tensioner, power steeting pump, alt or waterpump bearings.

Ooo BenR ive just read on the invoice (and they forgot to mention!) that the Alternator Tensioner is not working properly "Pulley Base Damaged".

Is that the source then?

Should I be worried about that instead?!

God I aint gonna sleep tonight either!

Ill ring em tommorow but what Id like to know is if it goes would it do any damage?

if the accesories belt goes nothing major will happen in terms of death to an engine. Just switch off and wait for the AA lol.
