No you need to wire a relay to it then use the current wire as a 'switch' for the relay so you wire the horn to a relay, then the relay to the battery and old horn wire

It's quite simple really.

You just mount the new horn and connect everything upto a relay as said.

Fair enough, haven't the first notion about auto electronics AT ALL so a bit dumb on it without seeing it first
I'll probably end up getting someone to help me incase I fry the horn, or myself!

I got the horn today (no funny remarks )

Dam thing coomes with the relay but no wires and a wiring diagram that is FAR from idiot-friendly! :(

What sort of wiring do I need to get for this now, and where do the wires need to run?
Need help, if someone has one of these fitted that would be a bonus!

Cheers

Be sure you mount it out of the air stream. Dont expect it to last long. Mine just fell apart inside. But very loud and a good sound.

Was planning on mounting it in place of the old standard horn mate

How did you get yours wired up?

Does it not say what sort of wattage it requires?

Demon Tweeks sell everything you will need, just make sure the cable you use is enough to support the wattage.

Also make sure you fuse the feed from the battery.

I ran a wire to the battery to the relay, another to a negative, another to the old horn wire and then one to the positive end to the horn, then run a final negative to from horn to any negative :)

I like how this thread has so much more views than most others! :) Good luck wiring it, anything that says "quick and easy to install" they lie!
