Glass help!

Right, two things.

I've got marks on my windows that look like dried water marks and marks where the window has been up and down. I've tried to get them off with AG Fast Glass and Methylated Spirit but to no avail. Any ideas?

I also have swirl marks and light scratches on my rear window. Any ideas on how to get these out? I've thought about AG Glass Polish but would it work?

I use AG glass polish, and it works fine. But I havent got any scratches, so I wouldnt know how it performs with regards to that.
I would have thought AG glass polish would remove any water marks etc on the glass!

You wont polish out the scratches with the likes of AG Glass Polish, you will need a proper glass compound like jewelers rouge but will risk deforming the glass trying to remove them.

Will the Glass Polish help in any way though? As in lighten the scratches more so they're less visible?

i have this problem due to using a waterblade on my windscreen last year, scratched :(

i know to get rid of scratches it has to be abrasive but what can you use with a DA machine on the glass? ive got the sonus range and #80 and #83. Any of these of any use?

Will clean the glass nicely, AG Glass polish on a polishing or even light cut pad works brilliantly on glass.

It will clean the dirt out of them, but not remove them, not anywhere near abrassive enough to do anything to them.

.

Ive got a Megs soft buff cutting pad hope thats light enough? cheers :)

infact, if i wanted to use it on a polishing pad could i after id done the body? Only have the one polishing pd at present, could i brush the pad with a soft toothbrush then just apply the glass polish? whats the deal with using pads more than once?

The Megs cutting pad should be fine, I find it easier to use a 4 inch spot pad though.

Being as you are using it just on glass you could use the pad again without cleaning it properly, not really good practice but not going to do any harm.
