Gloves... Yes... Gloves...

Putting the towels in the dryer ruins them lad :( it de-charges the microfibre. The idea is that the charged "hooks" of the MF lift the water and polish off the paint, to stop scratches.

MF still need to be rung out after using it on half of the car. Buying a couple of towels is never a bad thing, I confess to having four of the super plush I4D ones.

Sends a link and I'll get acouple of those, will bin my current one.

Got a new wheel brush yesterday aswell, will post a pic soon ;)

I eh, also need to get some snowfoamz, which means power washer/lance and chemicals to go along with it.

I also got this odd greasey wet patch on the windscreen, drying it just didn't happen, it would smudge abit but didn't have much give, any ideas?

Re polish the windscreen lad.

Wash car, dry, tape up rubbers and plastics once fully dry, polish with SRP or AG Glass Polish.

I waxed it when it was detailed, but dependant on conditions/chemicals used to wash it, this may have vanished by now.

I need something to sort out fading plastics aswell :(

The brush it to get between the tire and the rim lip. (I have a full pack of different sizes) ;)

Fog inserts and scuttle(sp) panel, rear insert is ok.

What's that rainex stuff people have mentioned btw?

What are you doing to make it fog up a lot??? ;)

Keeping it clean is the best bet. I polished the inside with glass polish and that was it. The screen will fog up due to the current freezing weather, not a lot you can do about that matey.

Just get in it at 1/2am and give it about 7 seconds and it steams up lol. Just seems abit excessive. Doesn't help that the vents aren't all that well at clearing it because of the odd positioning I've found.

Any old glass polish do? As Mike says "Glass is Glass"?

Mine's so dirty it's funny. I drew parking sensors on the rear bumper the other day to make it look more expensive.

WTF is Mike? Lol. Mikey? Birdaids?

AG glass polish young lad, easy stuff to use. Mate, the Clio is defo one of the best at clearing! Warms up fooking quickly in the morning. I was always warm and toasty by the first bypass round about where as a mate was usually stone cold in his Fezza.

2 warm buckets of water & shampoo and hose it off. Dry your hands then the car, meanwhile have the engine running to blast some heat inside.

Once all done outside, get yourself into the car and go for a drive to warm yourself up.
Please mind your skirt getting in ;) Xx

Used a scourer and then the sponge side to apply shiney shiney tire but it got all dirty and thought it would be a better way?

What about the power washer?

Tescos usually cheapest place mate.

Re the scourer, use the rough side with degreaser and warm water when you wash the car. Then dry with a secondary towel. Then apply gel once properly dried.

Didn't think you'd have a tesco's anywhere new Alderley Edge ;) Will pop in tonight. See if they have any Karchers.

Not keen on using a towel on the tires that I'd use on the paint... :/

Use new towels for paint and old one for tires?

  DCi 100
If you have no old towels handy, use that skirt I mentioned :p

Rofl!

Sounds like a plan!

What am I after? K1-7 series for the foam lance, will fit such things like K2.54 etc?

Make sure that you go for a decent one Alex, in all seriousness. If it breaks they are worthless if under the 3 series as they can't repair the motor.

Our old one lasted 3 years, then broke. Bought a new one and made sure it was repairable.

  DCi 100
The old one I currently use is proper spastic lol, had it a good 6-7 years (don't use very often) and drops off the pressure all the time, groans, moans and doesn't behave very well at all.

Tesco don't seem to have anything above 2 on the website?

I never go half assed about buying things, as you can see by my biggest purchase this year ;)

K368 on there fella, albeit more expensive than it was earlier in the year. But think that was on some sort of deal.

Now you just want some man hands round your car - we keep telling you Alex, get your own! :p

  Not a 320d
Ive got an idea, why dont you just foam the car and spray it off, i trust you got it sorted for winter, IE a coat of Colly or FK to see it though the winter months.

This time of year i just do the above as it gets filthy again so fast.

Leave me alone lol!

Didn't get out of work in time and had to defrost the car so by that time it was home shower and bed, no tesco last night.

Worth having a look around some sites as well Alex. Although Tescos are pretty good, it's by no means a cert that they will be cheapest.
