Even get this problem in linux sometimes.. pain aint it ;)

Its just your filesystem protecting itself though. Cant be helped.

well a restart didn't solve it.

god damn it.

oh and that "Unlocker" installer was b****cks'd

Book into safe mode mate, tap F8 as your PC boots up. Once you're in safe mode it should be ok to delete it.

Failing that try http://killbox.net/ to end all any unneeded processes. If you go into task manager any processes that aren't classed as SYSTEM can be closed if needs be.

am not bloody deleting it lol!

i need to use some different fonts on someone elses PC but i can't plop them into fonts folder

So if im reading that correctly, you're trying to grab the fonts off a network PC and copy them into your own?

In which case make sure they're not in use on the other machine aswell.

Sorry dude, i've confused matters.

The fonts were downloaded from our website - unrar'd then plonked onto the desktop.

From the desktop i'm trying to slap them into the font folder!

yes indeed...what?

Still can't in safe mode.

for chuff sake its only a bloody font !!! ARHHHGGGG

You got Suitcase or something running on start-up?

You tried renaming the font files you're trying to copy over?

MOVE [/Y|/-Y] [d:][path]filename[,[d:][path]filename[...]] destination

is that the correct syntax?

Cant you extract them to a removeable storage device and install from there?

He is trying to install the fonts, not move them.....otherwise he would have just extracted them where he needs them.
