Ripping my front splitter off in the process. Me and eviljohn then had to endure the smell and try and reattch it!

I really dont thinkg horses should be on the road. I drive near Epsom downs and they are a right pain.

They ride side by side on a narrow road and you cant drive passed then fast as they get scared. They are dangerous coz you cant overtake them safely.

Not taxed or insured and they make the roads hazardous, turn into McDonalds I say!!!

what annoys me is the look of snobbery some of them have when you drive past and some who just dont want to let you past!

we were going for a drive in the kitcar which pops and bangs when you slow down and cant accelerate without making a noise. we came across 2 horses riding side by side and would the move over? no! they kept looking round and pulling faces as if to say what do you want, why are you on our road, we followed them for about a mile! and eventually flew past them in a passing place with them shouting abuse :D

shove a tax disc on its ass! make it pay £170 for the priviledge and get it insured!

If the horsers are insured does that mean that is they get frisky and kick a car their insurance would pay for the damage???

I can imagine them causing all sorts of fuss and trying to blame the driver for it.

Lets face it when you have to overtake something and drive on the wrong side of the road you want to be quick, not have to worry about not scaring the object youre overtaking!!

I think youll find horses have more rights on the road than cars, so as a general rule of thumb, be nice to them.

I was driving behind two police horses in my area recently. It was surreal.

Never see even a Bobby yet there was two on horseback with flashing lights on their jackets (it was dark).

Anyway, they both drop their bait all over the road within about 2 seconds of each other.

Loads of it.

Why is this acceptable?

I find reving the engine to 7000rpm and honking the horn gets them moving a bit quicker..:p

they are dangerous animals tho at the end of the day anything can spark them off, i dont think its too bad on country lanes cause there isnt alot of cars , but i dont agree with them in towns i live nr blackpool and theres quite a few horses about and i hate driving past them especially if there having a funny do in the road .

f**k them! (not literally)

they have miles of fields and no f**king need to be on our roads, if the need transported from field to field then use a trailer!! dog owners can be fined for letting their dogs sh*t in public so why shouldnt horse owners. they can cause potentialy fatal accidents and dont even have to pay to travel on the roads that we pay for!!! rant over

Roads were originally made for horses...
that is quite true horses were around long before motor cars but ideally they shouldnt be on roads where there are loads of traffic . not only is it dangerious for the car driver but the riders are also putting themselves at risk

And as for the horse sh*t you wanna try living nr blackpool with all the cab horses along blackpool prom loads of horse sh*t along there to attach its self to bumpers etc

Bolted my splitter back on last night, the sh*t managed to rip off 2 bolts ffs! The horse must have been needing for a while cos i swear it was like a pile of large bricks rather than sh*t!

God damn horses! lol

Never had a problem with horses, even though there are lots where I live and I drive past them most days, but hey its good to see the great British tradition of whinging and intolerance is alive and well!!

Sorry to hear about the bumper, where there rocks in the sh*t or something?!

If you dont pay road tax then you shouldnt be allowed on the road !!!

Horses are old technology now - move over and make way for the motor vehicle. I think the french have the right idea.

old tracks were made for horses, tarmaced roads and paid by and made for cars

and as for the horse sh*tting in the road, dog owners clean it up and so should horse owners!

erm....they have, when was the last time you saw some one go shopping or to work on horse back?

As I said before, intolerance and whinging, if its not your hobby then no one should be allowed to do it!! ;)

Dogs poop blinds if you get it in your eye... Horse crud is good for the fields.

Just remember that most horse riders are youngish girls who are fit and healthy..... therefore be nice to the horse and the young fit horserider world is your oyster....
