I've no experience with Samsung monitors, I've bought the 20" viewsonic widescreen sometime last year. But the TVs are top notch. Take a look at the Monitor reviews on Tomshardware should help you make the right choice.

Looks decent enough to me mate god they have come down so much in price I remember paying £280 for my 19 inch tft about 3 years ago

How about the 19 inch samsung pebble as a tv tuner as well and is 199 at pc world, was 230ish on ebuyer last year when i was looking at them

It's newer and you don't have to run the panel lottery associated with the 226BW.

I've got the one you mentioned in first post. Any panels made after a certain date were fine, I bought mine a few weeks ago never had any problems with it.

As griff said, pebble all the way. I have a bit of an older samsung screen at the moment but gonna upgrade at some point to the pebble.
