Good old elephant - not !!

Did a quote online as a new customer inc my add on bits, protected etc & it was £705 for me, sweet

I got the renewal thru on sat (been with them for four years all together) Err, £907 + the addition add on bits I selected, plus protected etc = £979.00 !!!

Err - fook off me thinks !!
What gets me is every year I have to ring them up & ask them why they do it, then I have to go thru all of the malarky of giving the ref number for the cheaper quote & confirming the details - details which they already know

I will be giving greenlight a call tomorrow me thinks to go over their quote

I was with elephant but changed to Greenlight no so long ago.

Greenlight are great. All mods declared, got charged £25 1 off payment for the lot!

I pay £74 a month now, was paying almost double that with elephant with everything declared.

Elephant want £40 for an induction kit, not too bad.

I called Greenlight today & the bloke on the phone (not Neil) was most unhelpful:dapprove: pretty balshy & he wouldn't even let me speak to him I won't be going there !

I was with Elephant for 2 years, and my renewal that came through this year was about £100 more than last year and £250 more than my quote with Privilage. They wouldn't even budge on the price, said they couldn't be so competitive anymore. Obviously wasn't bothered about my custom, so I cancelled.

5 years I've been with Elephant and they always match and beat better quotes for me. Gone down approx £100 a year

I called them once & got an indian woman, she had no idea at all:dapprove: I had to call back the next day to speak to someone. I did put in a complaint about her though for being useless.

I'll call them tomorrow & see if they'll honour it (they best do lol)

Cancel your policy with elephant at renewal, then ring up and take out a new policy to start the same day. New customers are heavily discounted and will beat your renewal price easily.

Elephant have been good with me for the first 2 years of driving..
Until the renewal for my 3rd year came through £110 more than the last year WTF!

I got on the blower straight away and spoke to some random woman who said..

"Well theres nothing i can really do about it"

I threatened to cancel my policy which she then replied..

"oo err ill just speak to my supervisor and see what he can do for you"

Who said i can have a "loyal customer" discount which magically got it just below the price of a quote i had mentioned from another company

Insurance companies are such gay lords!

similar happened to me when insuring the CTR. Logged on as a 'new' customer to see how much it would be - £500. Then phoned Elephant to see how much of an increase it would be from the Clio and the total was about £70 more than the new customer quote.

So it was cheaper to cancel the policy with the Clio and get a refund on what was owed and then take out a new policy for the CTR.

However, they have sent me a letter and the refund is £50 lower than what I was told over the phone! FFS!

However, before this Elephant have been pretty good tbh
