Just wanting to know what people think are some good track day circuits as me and a few other cliosporters are planning on going on one and I wanted to know about some good ones, with possibly a lot of technical sections in, with lots of corners?
Donington is a great circuit, and is an easy circuit to learn which Craner Curves being a great feature and the corner where you will probably need to practice the most. Its quite a fast circuit.
Oulton Park is very techincal but also a fast circuit, but only because it has a mixture of everything; decent straights, chicans, banked hairpins, steep drops and climbs etc. Its quite hard on the brakes here if its dry as there are at least 4 or 5 places where you are around 100mph and nned to slow down.
Anglesey is very short and techincal with very little straights but is on the edge of nowhere for most people.
Donnington is a brilliant circuit and if you have a fast car you might get annoyed with the lack of overtaking opertunities and there are 2 really hard braking points at donnington if yiou are not doing the GP circuit.
I have heard alot of good things about rockinhgam but i have not yet used that circuit.
Brands is meant to be a brillinat circuit but expensive the most expensive in fact
Silverstone is good and you will get alot of exotica there but thats expensive.
Castle combe is a good circuit for first timers quit an easy circuit and enjoyable
Go to brands reguarly, and cant comment that its the best circuit as i havent tried any others lol, but for a small nimble car like the clio its certainly at home, loves druids and great on paddock bend.
Which circuit would be better overall donnigton or Oulten, oulten is an extra 45 on top of donnigton, but then youve got fuel to add to that as Im in the north west!
