GoodYear f1

Clio 182 LY + Cup packs
I have just put the above tyres on my 182, and i cant seem to find any grip when setting off fast. I just get the traction light flashing and a load of banging coming from the suspension. I know its wet and the road conditions are not great at the moment, but i would expect a little more grip than this from brand new tyres that cost £90 each.

Anyone else running there 182's on these?

any powerful car will wheel spin in this weather, especially a light front wheel drive car like the 182, it isn't the tyres fault, it just you wanting something any tyre can't give you

Raf,

How many miles have you done...

It'll take a good few hundred miles to scrub-em in properly.

Until then, seriously take it easy (waxy coating on new tyres is quite slippery!).

(ps I'm assuming they're quite new?)

I'm running them, and they're SUPER - you'll need to play with pressures a wee bit though.

I put them on two weeks ago so im guessing ive done around 800 miles on them now, as im quite a high mileage driver. They were just short of £90 i think, i bought them from mytyres, so whatever they charged.

OMAR what pressures are you running yours at?

I found them on a par with Toyo proxis

Really???

My F1's are lovely and progressive and grip in the wet like the road is dry!

Toyo's on the other hand are grippy while leaning on them but they then just snap away... :dead:
