whatatash - perhaps you didn't see the bit that said... "All can be selected or you can remove ones you don't want, and they are apparently all kept up to date through 'Google Updater'."

Antivirus and Antispyware may slow your machine down a little bit but I'd rather have that than a virus wrecking my computer.

There is alot of very good software there, particularly Picasa, Firefox... i could go on.

^ he said you can pick and choose what you want. Google earth and spwayre is hardly cluttering and slowing you pc up.

trying to get Google Earth to work in Linux at the moment, it's a right pain in the arse. Got it installed and running lat night but graphics are fucked so will have to have a fiddle tonight.

Even the little google apps clutter up your PC, especially when you start removing them and re-installing. Leaves redundant files and dll's all over the place. Not my bag, but your choice!!!

Personal preference!

Microsofts essentials! I'd advice everyone downloads the Image Resizer! once installed resizing an image is just a right click away, not sure why this doesn't come as standard..
There's a link to the image resizer in Forum feedback (to resize avatars) and media (to resize pics) ;) been there a while now.

most of that stuff is good but google desktop isn't from experience, does slow your pc down.
