GPS over Bluetooth on a laptop

  20VT Clio & 9-5 HOT
Iv been using tomtom on my phone for ages now with a bluetooth GPS receiver! Works a treat!

Im off to the ring on friday, and have a few apps on my laptop that work via GPS, including autoroute for directions across europe!

Iv installed my BT GPS, and its assigned it 2 com ports. 1 incoming and 1 outgoing, but the b*****d software will not connect to it!

always says it has found a com port but is not receiving a signal from it! or if I scan all my ports is says 'NO DEVICE FOUND!'

I've tried manually assigning various com ports with no luck!

any ideas? doing my scone in now!
