greasy roads!!!!!!

almost lost the clio again exiting off a roundabout! didnt even give it much pedal! bloody greasy roads at this time of year are a nightmare! Lookin back I was quietly chuffed with myself for correcting the skid (the wifes face said otherwise though)

had the same thing a few times with the bike when stopping quickly, couple of times my starfish has closed up!

LOL my heart was in my mouth for a minute or 5,good job there was no other cars about.would have been far too embarrasing.

Nearly lost the wifes Cooper S at the Bury roundabout in December. A low tyre pressure at the rear was the culprit, but that thing gave no warning.

I really dont see why the motoring press praises the Cooper S so much. Its quick and nippy (especially low down the rev range) but compared to the Clio, its a lump of lard. I was chuffed that I caught the slide though!

yep,I know yhe feeling,I test drove a cooper b4 I got the clio but I refused to pay an xtra 5 grand to spec it up,wasnt too impressed with the drive either and I hated the speedo in the middle,too distracting.And yes catching a skid makes you feel like a real man,the more I think about it the more impressed I am with my ACE driving!!!LOL

heh, same thing on a roundabout not long ago, doing about 20mph round a roundabout and the front end just starts sliding out big styleee.. ease off the throttle and the back end came out, car ended up pointing towards the roundabout but I caught it and straightend her up again.. brown trowser moment deffinatly.. but fun

Thing is I had just put a brand spanking new set of 16" OZ Superls on, and the entire time I was thinking fcuk fcuk fcuk not the wheels man.. NOooo..
