Well any1 got any idea if its any good for the mk1 D7F?

Theres also a PiperCross/JR/K&N I could get - any of these better?

Not sure what car you drive mate but on my 16v it sounded great, and with a cold air feed I felt no loss of power, thought it didnt make any extra either (all induction kits are the same unless you relocate them)

See ya

A lot of the reason I want an induction kit is to gain a bit of power - surely they give something extra?

I drive a 1149cc ph3.

They dont give any extra power, as they suck in warm air from the engine bay, therefore the extra amount of air they suck in is offset by the air being warmer and therefore less dense.

To get a bit more power (probably only 2 or 3 bhp) fit a panel filter in the standard airbox with a good cold airfeed going to it. It wont sound like an induction kit though.

On a 1.2 though, the increase wont be that dramatic and whatever you do it certainly wont be fast. Id just get an induction kit for the noise, as with it being louder it feels faster lol.

See ya

I think only the maxogen produces gains for the 172s/182s, maybe the viper.

chris - are we talking replacement green panel filter here, with standard airbox, or the induction kit slows you down?
