Green replacement performance filter

Hi, any help would be appreciated. I just fitted a Green replacement performance air filter element to Willliams. I wasnt expecting much difference but was astonished at the difference it made? Do you think this was just because the original paper element was dity and needed replacing, or do they genuinely make a big difference. Im in shock as to the improved throttle response. Any ideas?

probably just cos the old one was filthy - but the replacement ones allow a much higher airflow so you are probably sucking in as much air as your willy (!!!) is asking for...

I had a K&N one in the valver, but put my Hill power kit on there, I was very impressed with the K&Nelement,was going to put it back on cos im sure the Hill power kit loases power in the hotter weather, but my gfs next door neighbours commented how nice the valver sounds - arse! they are old,should be moaning!!! so im keeping the hill power kit for now!!
