Group N timing vs 197 cams

Hi all so here’s the situation my 182 needs the belts changed, I will be doing them myself as I can borrow the correct Renault locking tools for the job, whilst doing this it has got me thinking about starting modifying it can anyone shed any light for pros and cons of each? Both have to be timed up to different positions from standard is there anyone who could pop round to set the timing (Portsmouth area) have cash, and do you have to get mapped immediately? Again where to go? A it actually worth me doing as it’s mostly for the road but am taking it to Bedford autodrome in December so may track it again but at the moment it won’t be going hardcore caged etc
