GT Legends - now £14.99

Woooooooow! Got this today, bloody fantastic! Realism and graphics are incredible.

Just playing with a Sidewinder Pad at the moment but would love a wheel, sadly I have nowhere to set one up though. I've been playing Sega Rally at the arcade this morning and its got me wanting a wheel so badly!

LOL m8 - it's a difficult game to crack, isn't it? Just when you think you've got the knack of driving one car with some degree of ability, you get enough cash to buy another - take it out on track and plough straight into the first tyre wall... ;)

Hats off to you for playing it with a pad though - that must be fecking well hard!

I dunno if you know about this but I'll post anyway, go over to Race Sim Central forums Link here and have a look in the GTL section, you can get new car skins and download new tracks, including the Nordschliefe.

GTR is a great game, but I don't think the physics model is as good as that in GTL. Recovering from oversteer in GTR is nigh-on impossible - especially in long, sweeping bends...

b*****d! I bought this a month or so ago.....should get a race together as I have hardly played i recently... I use my dual shock PS2 pad and it is pretty good but obviously not as good as with a proper wheel setup..

LOL m8 - I know how you feel. I paid £24.99 for mine in the 'January Sales'. Obviously - there's an early January Sale and a late January Sale!

We'll definitely have to get and online game going at some point. Any CS member welcome....... apart from Lee as he sounds too good ;)

This has taken a back seat for me since I got the Xbox 360.

I see GTR2 is on the way. Looks like I'll have to play it at work though as I'm not really up for spending a fortune on an upgrade at the moment.

Its a good game, i played the demo a while back but not got the full one yet

GTR is good but hard, ive downloaded new cars like the Ford Capri, Ford Escort, BMW M3 GTR.

Anyone heard of rFactor?

http://www.rfactor.net/

Apparently better than GTR

I prefer GTR to gt legends but your really need a wheel ,Id defo recommend the logitech driving force pro ,Its what ive just got and is amazing you can feel everything thats going on with the car much more feel, the frustrating thing with gt legend is that ive lost my career mode a few times and you loose everything ,so its best to backup your profiles every now and then to be on the safe side.

Good tip there m8. I do know what you mean about GTR, but GTL feels more 'raw' than GTR. One trivial aspect with GTR that I don't like either is the 'armless' steering wheel being turned. Looks a bit daft!

Having said that, there's nothing like the speakers being cranked up and purposely holding a Ferrari 360 in-gear way up to the redline. The Porker GT2 (even though it's a handful) is by far and away my favourite car in GTR.

Lee - nice try at the excuses m8, but you're still not playing with us.... :rasp:

.... only kidding!

Never tries rFactor ive heard of it on racesimcentral ...ive tried live for speed which everyone seems to love on there ,not really a great fan of it though

I thought about getting rFactor, but 30 quid to download, and it doesn't come with many tracks or cars(Cars are also made up due to no licence) and then being at the mrcy of the modding community to make anything decent for it(Spirit of '76 and Porka cup look good though). And even though it's the same game engine that runs GTL, I feel that GTL looks and plays better(tried the rFactor demo).

And GTR2 does look great, there's a trailer out for it and it shows off the damage modelling, with wheels and bodywork flying all over the place.
