I AM LOOKIN FOR ONE OF THESE CONVERSIONS OR A BETTER ENGINE THAN I HAVE AT PRESENT HAVE ABOUT £1500 2 SPEND ON AN ENGINE COULD ANY OF YOU POINT ME IN THE WRITE DIRECTION WITH SOME WORDS OF ADVICE THE CAR IS A CLIO MK 2 1.2 8 V

OKAY GOT THERE NUMBER A MINUTE AGO GOT SOME OTHER PRUICES FOR SOME ENGINES LIKE £2500 FOR A 1.6 16 VALVER AND £3500 FOR A 172 ENGINE ABIT OUT OH MA PRICE RANGE

JUST THE PRICE £2500 THATS ALL BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE COZ THATS WHAT I WAS THINKIN ABOUT BUT HEARD ABOUT THE GTT AND THAT SOUNDS QUITE RAPID AS WELL LIKES

Im sure you can get a GTT tranplat work for £1k plus the cost of an doner car/engiene is about £500 so 1.5k all in plus you can flog the old 1.2 for some extra cash.

Ask Brun about his GTT transplant he has an older generation car but it cannot cost much more for a Mk2 model

Bruns was fully rebuilt and GDI virtually made love to every engine component!!!!! £3K+

That would be some job in a 99 clio.

You can pick up bog standard R5 GTs for humble enough money, and just do the neccessary.

Is the 1.2 16v gearbox the same as used up to the 1.6? Anyone got an idea of how much bhp/torque it can take?

No the 1.2 box is Jb1513

the 1.6 is jb1510
