GTT Rebuild - Pistons

should these be replaced on a rebuild, from readin around most people dont seem to bother, but when you get it done at BB or K-Tec im pretty sure they replace them......

the engine thats goin into my Clio is havin a rebuilt bottom end, so should i get new pistons ?.........i am trying to keep costs down but if it needs it then ill get em

no point doing half a job, renew bearings, pistons and liners, timing chain and tensioner, oil pump etc. or at lease get the mic. out and have a measure up!

No need to change the pistons mate...

You can just get new rings (& liners if reqd), but I didnt bother when I did mine.

Do a compression test and see what its like.
