Gutted

Had my precious Cup all of 3 weeks and this happens!! Hit a patch of diesel on the road and skidded big style and smacked into a Jeep. Totally devastated doesnt cover it :dapprove: .

Gutted mate, Id be in tears for weeks!

Expect some daft it'll T-Cut out remarks!

Insurance company will love you!

Ill take the wheels ;)

Its written off for sure but am still waiting for 'confirmation' from insurance. Theres a kink in the roof on the drivers side which you cant see on the photo so im assuming its twisted to f**k.

gutted fella... car looks dead but at least you're ok... get a good payout and then buy something new and shiney again... hope it gets sorted quickly though

:( not a pretty sight

at least you're ok mate. cars can be replaced, no matter how much you liked it

That looks like a fairly heavy impact!

Hope everythings ok with you! As said you can replace the car!

Thanks for the comments guys, appreciated. Facing a relatively hefty shortfall on this one though unfortunately, at least im still here to pay it tho!

Oh my god! That's not a nice sight, so gutted for you! I can't imagine what I'd feel like seeing my car like that! :( Hope you get it sorted.

Nooooo! and its not even winter. glad your ok mate. Are you gonna buy it back from insurance and break it for spares?

Speed + wet road + diesel + no ABS/ESP = the picture you posted.

Just glad you're not hurt mate, but save the hooning (forgive me if you were driving sensibly) for dry hot tarmac.

Your forgiven. Was only doing about 45mph tops believe it or not. Anyone who knows the A706 will agree its not the kind of road you can speed on.

Ouch, as has been said glad your ok. Bending the roof is normal in an impact like that. You can see it if you enlarge the pic.

Sorry to hear and see this. Glad you are ok as that looks like quite a smash!

Were there any warning signs for the diesel? If not:
Ask the council / police if a previous accident was recorded where you had yours, if there was the diesel could be a spillage from an earlier collision.
It is the councils duty to clean up or place warning signs for diesel on the road, if they failed to do this and were notified of an earlier crash then the blame is theirs and you could be compensated.

The only reason I mention this is because my sister worked in insurance and had a situation where a claim was put through to the council for their negligence in not cleaning up diesel after an accident.

Been there done that. I was going round a bend doing 40 following a corsa. The corsa went round fine and i ended up in the hedge.

I was turning into corner easy and being sensible. Had been round that corner alot quicker in past. at least i was ok.

least you still have walking devices attached to your hips.

id be in alot of shock about been ok in the first place, then a few minutes i'd probably shed a tear or 2 about my car.
hope you get back on the road soon
