What kind of laptop security products are out there and what is best?

What do you use for Hard disk encryption?

What about physical locks or other deterrents?

Any suggestions or recommendation's?

kensington locks to stop people walking off with laptops.. its not the best but it stops the opportunist thief.

All our laptops come with embedded TPMs now, but the only way to keep it truly safe is to keep hold of it. Someone who wants it that bad can always get it.

i would have said bestcrypt or pgp but if that link does what it says on the tin then i see no reason to pay for owt

we use flagstone encrypted hard drives.
They have their problems.. you need to remember to diable hibernation as the drives don't support it (locks up & blue screens)

I've heard western digital do a similar product... if you really need to go that far that is.

Have had experiance with SafeGuard by Utimaco, it's alright but not free.
