Hi all stripped rockercover and all that off ,xhaust bolts rusted big time ,BOTTLED IT looks like its to big ajob 4 me scrap it shame ?£130 4 parts down the pan ?

Dont think im capable to do it . its a 1.2 s reg .i have since found that parts can be returned 4 £s but if i **** it up they will b wasted like ?

Nah lol like norfolk i need to do it, its my daughters car we cant afford 2 buy another car but she needs to have one 4 work ..like

Get yourself a haynes manual and read up on before going on. Should be straight forward I would think.

Oh, and how do you know the head gasket has gone. What are your symptoms? Have you done a compression check?

Have got one that thew me when they said about measure the end of cam with a gauge thickness of cam ?what about cam belt do u have 2 have a special tool 4 the spockets . dont thick valves r damaged

I know you do for the f4r engines (172/182) so I would presume you would for these. If there are no timing markings then you will and you would be as well doing the timing belt too as it will need to come off anyway.

I'm sure someone will be along soon to confirm.

So if its got t markins which i think it has u dont need a tool ,I have got new c belt kit , headgasket kit , new head bolts new w pump, oil, filter .thanks 4 all of your repiles magic site
