Half decent video card??

Basically just need a decent DVi output, anyone point me in the right direction please?

a decent dvi output....any graphics card can do that...do you need a specific resolution? what are you outputting to? whats your budget...need more info

I just need a digital output so I can link the PC to my Tv. Resolution wise there's no specifics just something which is decent, kinda middle of the road.
Budget wise I'd spend £50.

If it's a brand new Dell system, I've got a graphics card you can have for nowt. Just need to confirm form factor for me...

Their cases and motherboards are dodgy though in terms of what you can actually fit size wise onto them. Just make sure you check the dimensions of whatever card you buy.

Yeah it will, but the case will be really small. The only half-decent card that would fit in my 'brand new Dell' a year ago was the x1950pro, it was the only card thin enough to slot in, and it had quite a poor fan on it, so the heat generated was well above what I wanted. Had to get a new case in the end, learned my lesson about Dell anyway.

A lot of them come with a VGA out, and you have to buy the DVI plug in board. Same with a load of our HP desktops.

Got an ATI Radeon X600, will fit nicely. Similar performance to the existing graphics, but has DVI and VGA out. And you can have it for the cost of postage!

I just got one of these for my Dell Dimension, cheap too

comes with a DVI to HDMI converter in the box - bonus!

Iv got a Nvidia 8800gtx, plays any game in my current setup, bought it a while ago when the price was high, but im sure it will have dropped down alot by now.
