Halfords - RANT

Feel like venting this so here I go.

Thursday evening I stopped off at Halfords on my way home from work to pick up some car shampoo. I decided to get the Zymol shampoo and wax. Both come in the same shaped bottle!!! Ive just looked at the reciept as someone wanted to know what I paid for it. Instead of charging me for one bottle of shampoo and one wax they ran the wax through twice, which is a lot more expensive than the shampoo.

Now there is no way Im driving 20 miles to the Halfords I got it from as the money they scammed out of me would only get wasted again on petrol. I wonder if I go down to my local Halfords if they will be able to sort something out?

Any thoughts?

You would probably have to take both bottles with you to show that you didnt get two of the most expensive bottles of polish and explain that the assistant scanned the polish twice. Might be worth a try if it isnt going to cost you in petrol what you might get refunded!

I wonder if you would be wanting to return if it had been the cheapest bottle which had been scanned through twice?????

Take 2 bottles into the shower? i just take one! Take it back to your local Halfords with the receipt and you will have no problem.

Think yourself lucky mate! i joined the RAC once and at the end of the year checked my acounts for find they had charged me 4 times over! and had done previously for the pre 4 yrs!!!!!!!!!!! Because it was payed by direct debit every year I never noticed. I then had to wait another 3 months for a refund!!!!!!

Phone em up and ask. If they say theyll help you wade back. If not dont waste your time.

they will be able to take a refund for any store, at any store...

you can take it back to any halfords.

mistakes happen mate, just a pain when you end up out of pocket eh!

Mistakes can happen but Halfords are pretty good about it as long as youve got the receipt. They even take back bottles of Mobil 1 bought elsewhere at end-of-line price so you get to spend twice as much at Halfords than youd originally spent at the car shop! In theory of course...

I got it from Halfords in Birmingham.

Went to Halfords Cannock this afternoon, they refunded the difference no problems.

Just ignore the fact Im not posting as me. It is actually me LeeM just using HCs PC.
