Hand break fault

Well I stopped the car this morning and pulled the handbreak up and it came right up twice as josh as it usually does , but it still works, any idea what's happened? Thanks joe

Handbrake cable stretched? just a guess

Could be a snapped cable-have you checked to see if both wheels are locked?
