Got this from a mechanic mate after being unable to get my hands clean after working on the car....not even with those special abrasive garage soaps.

shampoo!

any will do, just used the one the missus uses (I have no hair)...and it works!
s**t came off without problems, only used a brush on my nails.

sugar and washing up liquid does the job

Also to get rid of grease you can use butter!strange but true as i learnt this in a miachine shop will in college

sugar and washing up liquid will find these near most sinks, so no running round the house with manky hands looking for shampoo

trust me...this is better than washingup liquid......

that butter trick sound good too, I did the same by using clean grease.

seamen?...a only if you are close to a ship and have some cash on you i suppose......
