Handles on a mk3?

my mk3 has awful black plastic handles and mirror covers, gonna colour code the mirrors but are the handles easily changed to the silver ones that come as standard on models with a better spec?

Didn't make it clear, its the outside handles I'm talking about. Will there be any trouble with the door lock barrel?

Silver handles have the sensors for the keyless entry, but if they arent connected (you wont be able to on yours) it should work as a normal handle. Mirrors are not covers, its the whole unit
