hardwiring in a speed camera detector

anyone have any tips on how its done?

iv had an origin B2 for over a year and never used it, so im going to fit it today, but i would ideally prefer it wired in than using the ciggy lighter...!

I started off soldering the cable to the back of the lighter, but in my car the lighter is always powered which meant i had to turn the snooper off manually. After a couple of months i re wired it and spliced it in behind the head unit and brought the cable out by the glove box so i can store the snooper in the glovebox when i'm parked up, and no one can see the wiring.
