my advice would be to talk her out of it.
My mrs has one & hates the thing, battery isn't good & the touch screen buttons are very sensitive meaning until you are used to it you will call people accidentally. Also when friends have a look at it, they end up ringing people!
Shame it's not pink as she'd have probably paid you to take it off her hands!

(just our experience, she may have a dodgy one?)

Oh and i don't know how many MP3's it can hold.
YOu can use MP3s as ringtones. not tried message tones though.

Had no problems with mine, and I think the touchscreen is easy! Nicer to use than buttons imo. Don't know exactly how many mp3's fit on it, but I've got alot stored on mine, and still have plenty of room. Can set them as ringtones too, although not sure about text.

I have one, the touch screen is a tad sensitive, but it's one sexy phone. However, I can't answer your question as I've no idea!
