Has this laptop got a good "spec"?

im quite clueless when it comes to computers and what they have, anyway i seen this 1.

any good? i had 2 gateway computers before they left the Uk and ireland and they always seemed quite good.

its for uni, and mainly it will be for interent browsing, listening to music and probs watching films, and the odd bit of word and that stuff.

Spec is pretty low to be honest..
I'd say you want at least Vista Home Premium with 1GB RAM..

Out of those three, I'd go for the Gateway ML6227b 15.4" Laptop

Have you looked around at other makes etc..? Dell normally do some stupid deals?

Funny you shoudl say that. Ive just recommended this one to somebody, very nice laptop for the money.

Got to use it yesterday, removed a lot of crap that gateway ship with it, but it runs sooo much nicer after.

Lots of stuff for your money. So another recommendation from me as for this one.

do you think i will get anything any better then this for the money? it seems like a decent deal and comes with the vista premium package rather then basic and as you said has i can wipe alot of the crap off it that gateway install.

oh and aslo do you think the graphics will be good on this as i will be streaming tv through it in my room at uni

also what will the graphics be like on this? i will be watching tv on it throught the university network so it needs to be fairly good id guess.
