Have I overpriced?

Basically , have i asked too much for my car??? Had some interest but no serious buyers?? Reall y need the car sold within the next few days so my last resort is a car auction. Can anyone give any info on selling your car at auction as i havent tried it before. ie . . commision , do i need to book it in or just take it along etc etc.

link to my for sale thread. any help or advice would be great.

yea. there is one in shotts aswell. but i have no idea on the comission they take or if i could put a reserve on the car

Its worth £2600 all day long but the mods reduce the market you have for it. If your desperate to get shot of it Daniel on here would probably buy it off you but it would be a trade/ part ex price.

thanks. i thought i had priced it fairly but i havent had much back tbh. its still lowered 60mm and colour coded with rs grille , which i didnt think was mods which would put people off.:dapprove:

RenSport grille 99% people wouldnt notice, but being lowered is going to put people off.

As Craig said, avoid an auction as thats just going to get you a stupid price.

Price looks alright to me but as someone said if you want a quick sale you might have to bring it down to £2600 maybe even £2500. :(

Nobody's going to notice the colourcoding, alot of the new ones are colourcoded from the factory, similarly the grill wouldn't be noticed.
Its the springs and the skirts that make people assume its been thrashed.

pisch market mate and as for the auction chat, you can set a reserve. probably be around 80-100 to list it and iirc some charge comission on the final value and handling charges etc.

CCA are one of the better ones.

had a look on their site. its 30quid to get it in the auction and they take 7.5% comission on final price.

its a last resort but i just NEED it sold within the next few days. starting to do my head in now!

  A well built VW
Make some cash by swapping me colour coded bits ;-) seriously

Try ebay for similar cars and the prices they are going on ebay are usually imho a good guide

Always worth giving it a punt on ebay Sure you can do a classified for £12
