cool^^^
but can i get a device t oconnect to my standard sky box to record sky like sky+ but as a seprate device? I can't get freeview you see, and i don't want ot buy sky+/HD as it costs too much.
I live out in the sticks so i have to get sky. I don't want ot spend a tenner a month on sky+ as i only have a basic package, so that works out as £120 a year. just wondered if it was worth the investment.
am i being silly though?

what so if i set it up to record the program one day i can set it up to repeat that each weekday M-F?i want to buy one but i can't set it up to record at the same time each day, or weekdays which is such a simple feature but it doesn't do it, thats the only thing stopping me!
Just use the repeat feature? not a problem here.
So you basically want something that's identical to Sky + but doesn't cost a tenner a month?
Your only options are a DVD recorder or a HD recorder. Cheap DVD recorders can be picked up for about £50 these days, probably cheaper still from Aldi, but then you've cost the cost of the DVD's to factor in.
HD recorder are more expensive still and with both they're nowhere near as user friendly and intuitive as Sky +.
The Sky+ £10 subscription is stopping on the 1st of July, so the only extra cost is the price of the box.
It's well worth the £99, it's blooming marvellous!
