Head unit advice please

i was going to get a pioneer HU seen one i like etc.. but have seen this now

Alpine: have an ipod so can add the interface at a good price.

has free p&p and is about £70 cheaper than here

are alpine a better make? better quality?

as far as i am aware, alpine are pretty highly rated, sometimes they look a bit bland, but they are good quality.

DO NOT BUY THAT ONE.

Its an american one that wont work properly over here! You wont have RDS, steering remote, DAB option, traffic reports, to name but a few.

Theres a reason for its cheapness!

for less than that, you can make a nakamichi/pioneer cross breed

has cost me around 15 hours of fooking around, and £10 in parts

however, id not recommend doing so, as it gets very hot, im trying to find a way to effectively cool the unit
