Head unit trubs

Ive got a 1.2 clio 1992 mod and the adapter for my head unit is like a plug but i dont know if new headunits will fit this im stumped as a f**ka lol anyone help cheers

most new head units come with a cable that has two oblong connectors on it, (one does power the other speakers) the harness in the car will be designed to go straight into the standard unit, you can either cut the plugs off both and connect the correct wires up or easier get yourself to a car audio place or halfords and buy a £10 adaptor lead to join the connectors on the car to the one on the head unit lead
