head units

im looking for a new headunit. are mutant a good brand or a steer clear of brand?

what can you suggest as well.

Mutant, crap.

Personally most people will say, alpine, sony etc.

I got mine for Aldi, Tevion, its got all the functions and preouts etc etc. Good value too, was one of the first head units to play MP3 cds/DVDs and even a IPOD USB connection(for other mp3s too).

Keep a look out for ALDI and LIDL, they are coming upto car season and pc season soon.

Yes, aldi the store. They do quite a bit of good stuff.

Have you been to halfrauds and browsed there yet, played with them etc?

Good bet to do that, then order it somewhere cheaper.

err. what do you nee to know? its cd (not mp3) player with front and rear output, and a sub output,.... i think its 45watts rms.

I had some phonex gold front speakers running directly off it and rear amplifier. and i had the sub output hooked upto the sub output. sounded good, but i was using rockford fosgate amps
