headlight bulb gone

My passenger side headlight has stopped working - the sidelight still works though.

Do I just need to replace the bulb or is it the whole headlight that I'll need to replace?

Is it a bumper off job or can I just sort it without taking it off

cheers

Try searching on here, google, ebay. Other question I'd be asking - would a new bulb look the same as the old one on the other side (as in, produce the same light), or do some people replace both to get a perfect match? :S

ok first things first you need to swap your xenon bulbs around to see if its the bulb.
if you swap them round and the same headlight doesnt work then its the ballast or the igniter
but more likeley the ballast if the bulb that wasnt working still doesnt work in the other light then its a new bulb you need

simples :)

Yeah I had a quick look earlier, couldn't find much on here it's mostly just people asking about putting xenons in their non-xenon headlights.

I'm not sure, only noticed today when I pulled up behind a car and only saw one headlight in the reflection. 99% of my driving is around town or where there's always lights so it's difficult to know when it stopped working. Haven't noticed any flickering.

The drivers side one is fine and the side-light is fine on the passenger side. Checked the fog lights too, they're fine, not that I use them.

I'll try this at some point if the weather clears up. I don't want to be *****ing around in the rain trying to do stuff.

If it's the "ballast" then does that mean it's going to cost more to sort out?

Just to update on this...

It only seems to be broken when it's raining. If it's dry outside, the lights work fine. Water must be getting in somewhere - I can't see anything obvious when I lift the bonnet.

Any ideas?
