Headlight Washer

Car  Clio Sport 172
I notice 182 have different headlight washers (flat ones) is there a way these can be installed on a 172 as the little balls on the 172 are shite!

Think what you are looing at are Blanking Plates which come on the Cup versions

They'd fit, but they aren't washers. They're blanking plates fitted to Cups and Trophies, because they don't have xenons. They don't have washers, but they do have the same bumper. The blanking plates just fill the hole where the washers would be.

Do you mean these??

If you are then they are not washers, They are just Blanking Plates Fitted to Cup versions as they do not have Headlight washers

My FF182 has the Washers with the small balls in

If its the blanking plates your after then yes I would have though so. I doubt they would come sprayed up though.

For the cost of the plates (seen prices of £70 each, or even £50 as noted above) or £7ish for the washer, it's a simple choice...

If the MoT folk ever get their act together about xenon lights, you might even end up needing the washers to be working. Strictly speaking they have to be there.

One of my balls is alittle screwed since a dog took a liking to it so it just squirts over my bonnet, wing and abit over the light, passed the MOT fine though.

Cant say ive ever used the washers anyway.

Yeah it's not currently part of the MoT but I wouldn't be surprised if it was introduced with the number of folk fitting HIDs into normal headlights that blind everyone.

Mine did the ornamental fountain thing and sprayed straight up in the air.

I use them more now because I think not using them might leave them stuck open. When water freezes in them I think it might be one of the things that helps break them.
