Headunit Trouble

Ive just been fitting a Pioneer DEH-PH8450MP to my car. Everything was wired up and in working order, untill I moved the headunit out off the dash. As i was removing it a wire sparked which caused the sound to cut out and it blew one of the inline fuses. Ive replaced the fuse but all I get now is feedback from the speakers no music no nothing. I even get feedback when the headunit is off.

Has anyone got any idea of what could of happened.

I know this sounds stupid but have you checked all the wires make sure they are in the right place and there is no damage i.e. shorting out exposed cores touching etc...

I checked the speaker wires and they seem to be ok. When I try it now the side of the headunit gets really hot in a matter of thirty seconds. Could I have blown the internal amp?
