Headunit wont remember settings

Hi

I've recently fitted an Apline headunit and everytime I turn the engine off it looses its setting.

Ive tried changing the red and yellow wires but seems to be having the same problem.

Can anyone help?

take unit out.. swap red wire with yellow... job done

Really? Thats about all it normally is? Depening upon how the wires are setup can you try different combinations of red and yellow wire connections? I.e are there more than two ways they can go? If not, just run a new constant live from the battery.

how have you fitted it mate? patch lead? hard wire?

no dont run a constant live.. too much hassle and poop as i found out once

On the renault side of the loom, which clolur is the live?

check the fuse box,you may find the fuse for the permanent live has popped as if its not saving at all either way then there will be a problem with the permanent

I swaped the wires round yesterday but I didnt think it worked. But seems to be fine now.

How do you mean, swap them round?

Have you cut the ISO plug off the end?

no it usually has two bullet connectors on standard

Yeah the red and yellow wire are interchangable
