Headunit working but no sound

my mates headunit has stopped working after she had to brake hard but its a kenwood kdc3027 h/u only 4 months old. says that the cd track time is going up as if its playing etc but no sound after she braked hard any ideas??

Speaker cable shorting out.

Pull the stereo out and check that the speaker cable unit hasnt come lose or summat.

Yes, as those 2 just said above. Check the speaker cable(s)
