Headunit?

2 Questions at the moment:

Sure this one has probaly been asked before. When you attach a new headunit, you loose the headup display where the tempertare is etc on the clio and also loose controls on the steering wheel, volume, pause etc.

Is there a cable you can buy? If so has it got a name of sort, and is it easy to fit and price(s) ?

Second question lol, if I wanted to upgrade my headunit so I had an AUX input for my MP3 player, would I need to re-wire all the speakers and the ICE install in the boot, or is it just a case of putting in a new headunit?

Hope someone can help... don't know a lot about speakers and shiz.

The stalk controls will work with an adaptor depending on the h/u, the display will not show radio/track info etc. Some adaptors will show the makers name in the display ///Alpine, Sony etc.

If you buy something like the Alpine 9850Ri it comes complete with the lead to enable you to plug your Ipod straight in, all the controls are then taken over by the h/u and it charges the Ipod while its connected.

The stalk will work with the audiolinx adaptor from Halfords.

Will this mean that the controls on the steering wheel will work ?
