Heater doesnt work all the time!!!

Hi folks,

My heater has stopped working properly.

The number 2 setting didnt work when i got it but 1&3 worked fine but now its only works some times, it will suddenly kick in and maybe work for a couple of minutes.

Its seems like a loose connection, any ideas how to sort it, i am having probs with all my dash lights being intermittent aswell, it seems to be a recurring theme in my valver. Is it common?

Had a similar problem in my old RT, the connections onto the blower unit were badly corroded and had been bodged on, sometimes they shook loose.

is it much of a job to get to them

Nah,Piece of cake.
Just take out the stereo and surround then two screws hold them in.
Also check the dropper resistor conected to the blower under the windscreen.

nice one folks, the mutiplug was burnt to hell, i would imagine its been arcing across as the contacts have worn\got dirty.

I will have to get a multiplug and possibly the fascia panel. but your right it was a peice of piss.

BTW mat you should get the cheque tomorrow!

how long does it usually take for your heating to kick in? when my engine is completely warmed up it will come on and its not even that hot! the 1,2 and 3 settings work but its never actually hot!

is it supposed to get very hot?
