Heavy Revs

my car sounds like how it would sound when the air filter piping is removed (heavier revs)

... but it is not removed, what could this be?

no reduce in speed... just loud revs.

Could be a few things, more noise tends to mean more air escaping though. Might be anything from a blown exhaust to a leaky inlet, is the noise progressive or does it just come out when you floor it ?

when im taking off.. its not that loud afterwards
