Hello, couple of questions

  Renault Clio
Hello. This is a great site by the way, lots of info which is really helpful

I don't actually have a Clio Sport, I just have a Clio, but I'm interested in making my Clio look more sporty. I'm thinking about tinted windows, some nice wheels, spraying some stuff, etc... that kind of thing. Would this site help me do that? If so what section would I need to be in? Thanks.

There are sections for different mods like suspension, body, performance etc. Are you just trying to make it look sporty or make it look like a sport?

Also look at the project threads as there may be something already done that may help you.

Well, either way really to be honest. Thanks for the help.

If you were to replicate it it can be quite expensie as the panels and other body parts are astrenomically expensive from Renault as im sure your aware :(

Maybe get a set of nice wheels and lowering springs, maybe colour code it and just save the cash for a 172/182

As above, :)

I'm not really thinking about spending lots of money. Like I said, I'm going to have the windows tinted, by some nice wheels... and anything else will just be accessories. Like spraying the door and diamond badges a secondary colour. Just simple things to do with detail. I'll post some pics of my (black) Clio as it is now later. Thanks again! :)

I wouldnt recommend tints, i believe that is a dodgy road to go down as the windows have a slight tint already there is a thread on here about that as well.

There are loads of small mods you can do that will make it look better. Looks wise i would change the wheels and lower it. You dont even need expensive wheels..

There are some nice none sport models on here i will find the link and put it up.

Great thanks. I do really want the tints though, I think it looks really effective. What kind of small mods are you thinking about? I'd be really interested in what you mean.

The car is black, and I've been looking at some pictures on here of sports models where the owners have painted the door badges and diamonds a different colour. What do you think about that?

Edit: Awesome topic! Thanks very much.

I have a clio 1.2, I've colour coded the door handles, next to colour code is the spoiler, wing mirrors and side strips. Its been lowered by 30-35mm on eibach prolines, wheels powder coated silver, black side indicators and aero wipers.

See here - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=413373

That's really nice.

Do the door badges just pull off and clip back on? And is it just a case of spraying them? If so what kind of paint do you need because I'm on my way to Halfords soon. Also how would you go about spraying the diamond?

Yeah Steve, I was looking at that one earlier. It's nice, but why do people only do the front diamond? Don't you think it looks odd have the front diamond black and the rear diamond (with the "Clio" badge) normal? Also, what kind of paint do you need and how do you go about spraying it? Help is appreciated!

I'm going to ask these questions in the project area because this probably isn't the best place.

The door badges (bullets) just clip on an off as i am lead to believe. Most people on here spray them, if you look in the parts for sale or type in bullets in the search people when they get good at spraying them sell them to us who are not that good lol.

There is someone on here with the rear diamond and the rear clio etc all sprayed. Ill try an find that for you...

Nolt sure what paint people have used, best bet would be to PM someone who has done it.
