At the moment I just can't be bothered to be underneath it every weekend fixing it. I love the car and have enjoyed owning it, but ideally something like mine should be kept for weekends/trackdays and something to mess about on, not an everyday runabout - though it's never let me down in about 14 months and done a couple of two hundered plus mile trips.
Must say the brakes on the 182 I've been driving are much better than the old Golfs, they actually work
Sorry for posting German cars on your forum mind, been on one or two before and know other marques can have mixed receptions. However I'm a fan of quite a few cars and when they last 15+ years, nomatter what the model I feel you have to pay respect! :approve:
If I had a garage I'd keep it, strip it out and use it for track days and do what you said.
So many people are doing that with mk 2 Golf's it's unreal. And to be honest it would be much better value (and more remeberable) than what I normally do on my weekends
